Dr. William Rice, the author of Before You Go, is the pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church inClearwater, Florida. The church is annually recognized as one of the leaders in missions giving and baptisms in the state. Outreach magazine has listed Calvary as one of the 100 fastest growing churches in America. He has served as President of the Florida Baptist Convention and is known as a leader within the denomination. Dr. Rice received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama and his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry Degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to Cheryl and has three children – Amanda, Anna and Stephen.
